  • Overview

    The QED Group is seeking a Finance Manager for an anticipated USAID Ethiopia Health Information Systems (HIS) project to support USAID/Ethiopia in providing technical assistance and other services for the implementation of the Electronic Health Information Systems (eHIS) Activity to support the Government of Ethiopia (GOE) to improve the quality of health service and create a sustainable health care system through use of data for decision making and for providing similar services and deliverables to other countries in Africa or to respond to a crisis in Ethiopia. It will be based in Addis Ababa. 

    Responsibilities

    • Manage and maintain accounting and finance records in accordance with USAID regulations and QED corporate policies, and monitor project accounts.
    • Ensure project expenditures are within established budget parameters and confirm completion of corresponding documentation.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports as required.
    • Track the transfer of funds between the headquarters office and field office.
    • Provide day-to-day management of the systems for financial transactions.

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in finance, administration, or related area (e.g., accounting, management, or compliance).
    • At least 5 years of experience on similar international, donor-funded programs.
    • Experience supervising finance staff.
    • Strong computer skills, including advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, email, the Internet and Microsoft Windows applications.
    • Experience managing financial transactions on USAID-funded programs and familiarity with USAID regulations and procedures.
    • Strong management skills and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
    • Verbal and written proficiency in English.
