  • Overview

    This position supports implementation, backstopping, technical, and managerial support of Global Health Solutions (GHS) activities and projects. S/he will assist with the creation and development of communications and capabilities statement to support GHS. Coordinate health and data related content across the organization by acting as a point person. This position also supports all phases of business development activities to include capture, technical writing, and opportunity assessments and serves as subject matter expert on global health and informatics related opportunities.


    New Business Coordination

    • Supports all phases of new business development including opportunity research, tracking, reconnaissance, recruiting, proposal writing, and proposal coordination
    • Serves as a contributing writer, lead writer, or technical integrator on proposal teams; providing strategic recruitment; and training/mentoring staff; supporting multiple, simultaneous new business efforts at different stages of the bid life cycle
    • Contributes to management/coordination of new business efforts: pipeline management, resource allocation, strategic planning, quality control, and oversight of proposal

    Technical Assistance

    • Assists technical leaders and managers with technical tasks as appropriate (SOW drafts, editing reports, etc.)
    • Travels to project offices and provide subject matter expertise and coordination; may lead components of Scope of Work (SOW) for other projects and practice areas as required

    Project Support

    • Acts as a liaison to the field for day-to-day problem solving and support; independently trouble-shoots common problems and escalates more complex issues to technical and management leaders and follows up until resolved
    • Provides support as needed to all other components of the Global Health business and collaborates with colleagues. Provides short-term coverage for traveling staff

    Additional duties may be assigned depending on evolving business needs.



    • Master's degree in information science, data science, public health, statistics, health informatics, or a related field
    • At least 5 years of experience in working with information systems management and design in the health field for USG-funded projects or other donor funded programs
    • Working knowledge or understanding of Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning
    • At least 4 years of experience at a managerial or advisor level, providing guidance and supervision in implementation of strategies or methods
    • At least 2 years of experience living in or working with developing countries
    • At least 2 years of experience in proposal development for US government clients including USAID and CDC


    • Prior experience in international development
    • Experience with project management
    • Business development experience
    • Proficiency in a foreign language is desirable
    • Proficient in Tableau or Power BI
    • Able to design cutting edge presentation using PowerPoint or related software
    • Working knowledge or familiarity with the latest trends in ICT4D
