The Project Coordinator be working in operations for our MEL department and will gain valuable experience in the areas of program coordination, contract management, M&E analysis and new business.


The position is meant to enhance the Project Coordinators’ experience and knowledge of programs in MEL, M&E technical activities and new business. They will manage their projects and assistant in technical M&E work and new business development.


Project Management:

  • Support long-term and short-term staff overseas.
  • Manage field operations of evaluation teams, including travel logistics, consultant and subcontractor invoices, and travel expenses.
  • Draft program reports for donors and clients.
  • Develop activity budgets and oversee financial management of project budgets.
  • Review monthly project expenditures and invoices to clients.


Contract Management:

  • Draft contracts for consultants, subcontractors, and service providers. Serve as primary reference point for contracting questions.
  • Lead the internal approval process for contracts for services and procurement for the M&E division.
  • Review basic legal issues for employment and procurement.
  • Ensure administrative and financial compliance with USG regulations, including regular review of the FAR to ensure compliance.


M&E Analysis:

  • Assist with development of PMPs, program indicators, and other measurements.
  • Assist with developing M&E strategy for new projects.
  • Oversee qualitative and quantitative data collection.


Business Development:

  • Support new business and proposal preparation activities.
  • Assist with recruitment of personnel and in-country partners.
  • Research legal and program implications for countries participating in programs.
  • Assist with writing and production of proposals.


  • Bachelor Degree, required; Master’s Degree in international development or relevant field preferred
  • Prefer a minimum of 2 years performing program operations for USAID and other donor-funded projects/ 4 years for Projet Manager.
  • Understanding or experience with knowledge and information platforms; and/or experience with event management and/or organizational development.
  • Knowledge of USAID procurement processes and USG regulations.
  • Detail-oriented, experience developing/managing program budgets
  • Can-do attitude able to think creatively to find solutions and balance numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Required interest in MEL or qualitative and quantitative research methods.
  • Interest or experience in Democracy and Governance and/or anti-corruption programs.
  • Willingness to travel to post-conflict environments.
  • English required; knowledge of additional languages, particularly French or Arabic, is a plus.
