The Cost and Pricing Manager will serve within the Business Development Division and will be responsible for the preparation of proposal budgets and corresponding budget narratives within QED's New Business Development Unit. The Cost and Pricing Manager will serve as a member of the Cost and Pricing Team who report directly to the Director of Business Development. The Cost and Pricing Team works directly with Division staff and Proposal Development Teams to ensure proposal budgets and proposal cost volumes are strategically and competitively priced, compliant, completed on schedule and are of the highest quality.
He/She takes a leading role in the budgetary aspects of the new business proposal development process, advises other staff on pricing strategies, and ensures compliance with all rules and regulations relating to proposal requirements. He/She coordinates with the Director of Business Development, the Proposal Coordinator and Technical Lead, Contracts Administrator, the Finance Director, and other senior staff in pricing strategy and cost decisions.
The Cost and Pricing Manager is also a member of QED’s Business Development Unit. This central service team is responsible for providing overall support and guidance to all of QED’s technical units for matters related to Business Development and Proposals with existing as well as new clients. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, Cost and Pricing Manager will also manage the cost proposal process, which can include researching and identifying new business opportunities and cost approaches, leading the proposal capture process, leading the preparation, and delivery and negotiation of proposals responding to client/donor requests
